For most Americans, Memorial Day weekend is the official start of summer, ushering in backyard parties, outdoor living, and the unmistakable aroma of barbecue. May also doubles as National BBQ Month – perfect timing to fire up the grill for the months ahead. So, who better to kick off the season than Broil King, the leading manufacturer of premium grills and grilling accessories? Grillmaster Jason Radford and Culinary Director Ben Street joined the May 11 episode of Incentive Concepts LIVE to highlight the brand, cook up the ultimate backyard party menu, and help viewers become “BBQ King For A Day”.

An inside look at Broil King’s factory

The special episode started on a high note with an exclusive – Jason joined live from Broil King’s original manufacturing factory in Waterloo, Ontario, taking viewers (and co-hosts Andy Hudson and Kevin Hagan) on a one-of-a-kind tour. (The Waterloo factory is one of three North American Broil King facilities, with the other two based in Huntington, Indiana, and Dickson, Tennessee.)

First, Jason pointed out that all of the brand’s durable, high-quality grills start in the back of the factory. Then, he walked through what’s known as “the horseshoe”, where many of the grills are constructed, including the pre-assembled pieces that make the at-home grilling process seamless, safe, and easy. Kevin offered further insight into the innovative ways that Broil King’s factory achieves efficient shipping without sacrificing the customer experience.

All in all, it was a dynamic peek behind the curtain, offering a window into the dedication, passion, and excellence that keeps The King of Grills at the forefront of its industry.

After the factory walkthrough, Jason moved through the entrance of Broil King’s headquarters, where many of the walls were decorated with pivotal moments from the company’s history. He then moved into the main showroom where several of the brand’s grill collections and accessories were featured. These incentives and rewards for employees will motivate employees and boost their morale. Among Broil King’s variety of grills are picks like the REGAL™ S420 Pro, with its porcelain-coated warming rack, stainless steel cooking grids, Dual-Tube™ burners, and Flav-R-Wave™ cooking system. There’s also the BARON™ S490 Pro IR, with its standout electronic ignition; the GEM™ 320, featuring resin dropdown side shelves; and the CROWN™ Pellet 400, which comes equipped with a WiFi- and Bluetooth®-enabled digital controller.

The showroom was also home to a fully equipped commercial kitchen, where Ben joined the broadcast to take viewers through some mouthwatering recipes. The featured dishes included grilled stuffed peppers, made from just three ingredients; roasted potatoes, made with olive oil, pepper, salt, and rosemary; and grilled pizza, made on Broil King’s official pizza stone. Two lucky viewers had a chance to win their own Pizza Stone Grill Set, complete with a 13-inch pizza stone, high grade stainless steel cradle, and wooden pizza peel.

Additionally, prior to the episode, viewers could share their ultimate dream BBQ menus while RSVPing. Several of their delectable choices were sprinkled throughout the episode; however, Leah Klekamp’s combo – a beer bratwurst or burger, corn on the cob, and grilled veggies – got the star treatment. She won a Pizza Stone Grill Set, too, and Ben played on her ideas, making a New York strip steak sandwich with IPA-caramelized onions, arugula, and chipotle mayo on a mini baguette.



Ben and Jason closed out the episode with helpful tips for grilling the perfect burger, keeping good food simple, and using the Pizza Stone Grill Set properly. No matter your level of grilling expertise, there was something for everyone in this incredible episode.
