Incentive Concepts Teammates Share Creative Recognition Ideas on ASI’s The Joe Show LIVE

Using corporate gifts for marketing and employee engagement

In a recent episode of The Joe Show LIVE, Incentive Concepts’ Andy Hudson, Director of Marketing, and Aaron Cook, Southeast Territory Sales Manager, highlighted creative ways to use corporate gifts for marketing purposes and employee engagement. The Joe Show LIVE is produced by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), a premiere organization in the promotional products industry.

After sharing some background about Incentive Concepts and the more than 30 brands it represents, Andy and Aaron launched into a series of case studies to demonstrate the power of gifting.

Premium rewards to attract customers

Premium rewards can play an important role in building customer loyalty. In one example, Aaron detailed how Nordic Ware’s bakeware and cookware products were incorporated into a casino’s continuity program. With continuity programs, customers are awarded a new gift each time they return to the casino. They may receive a cake pan on their first visit, and then receive a different piece of bakeware on each successive visit until they’ve collected a complete set. Though continuity programs are popular at casinos, they can help build customer excitement in a variety of other business settings.

Lifestyle incentives to celebrate employees

Aaron also shared examples of how lifestyle incentives can support employee engagement. A pharmaceutical company had recently launched a virtual happy hour to stay connected with team members from afar. They partnered with Incentive Concepts to add some additional elements. The company sent Lodge Cast Iron cookware packages to each employee prior to the happy hour and then hosted a live cooking demo, in which employees could participate with their newly received incentives. The gift packages included a custom hot handle holder decorated with the company’s logo.

In another example, a sports media company encouraged employees to stay active and healthy by sending them wellness-themed rewards, like yoga mats and home exercise equipment from Lifeline Fitness and Body-Solid, and CBD isolate products from CBD Worx.

Additionally, Aaron pointed out that companies could create compelling reward packages with items from other top brands like Cashmere Counter, Bose, kate spade new york, and Costa del Mar.

After the case studies, Andy emphasized how easy it is to distribute rewards via the Your Event Card platform. He also directed viewers to explore the Decorated Gifts catalog and the recently launched factory-direct sourcing program called Custom Direct by Incentive Concepts. Essentially, there’s no shortage of ways to reward customers and recognize staff.
