During our February Incentive Concepts LIVE episode, “Proudly Preferred: How to create impactful incentive events”, Preferred Hotels & Resorts VP of Sales Katy Gettinger Eagen joined us to discuss how her organization empowers event and meeting planners to craft unforgettable experiences. Representatives from some of the country’s top resorts also dropped in to detail their amenities and preview the benefits of hosting events at their properties.
The episode reinforced the appeal of event gifting and outlined another creative, exciting approach to recognizing and rewarding employees.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts: sales and marketing support for premiere destinations
The broadcast kicked off with Katy, who introduced viewers to Preferred Hotels & Resorts. The “soft brand” helps its 700 partner hotels with all things sales and marketing, including leisure sales, revenue management, PR, and incentive travel, among several other responsibilities.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts recently formed a strategic partnership with Incentive Concepts, in which attendees of Preferred’s networking events receive a premium gift from Incentive Concepts, ensuring that meeting and event planners have access to endless options to build great experiences.
Event gifting experiences at America’s best resorts
After getting acquainted with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, we were joined by Reggie Cooper and Vo Tomulich from Amrit Ocean Resort & Residence. Located on Florida’s Singer Island, the Amrit offers oceanside hotel rooms and resort-style living. The Amrit’s most prominent features are its wellness focus, inclusive of its state-of-the-art wellness and spa center, and its proximity to beachside sports and activities. That makes it a perfect location for the Wellness Event, which includes everything attendees need to achieve total health, and the Costa Event, to encourage stylish and functional fun in the sun.
Next up, Brett Forshag introduced viewers to The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, coming to us live from one of the property’s fully loaded penthouse suites – which boasts a full basketball court! The only double five-star hotel in Texas, The Post Oak Hotel promises quality as soon as guests cross the threshold, with elegant details like a Swarovski crystal-laced grand chandelier, extravagant art collection, and an in-house Rolls Royce dealership. Additionally, the property is home to seven world-class restaurants and a 16,000-square-foot ballroom. The opulent features serve as the ideal backdrop for our Sound & Style Events, which pair two powerful brands for one memorable experience. The Bose & kate spade new york or Bose & Seiko options bring style and sophistication to the forefront. Or, given that The Post Oak is owned by Houston Rockets owner Tilman J. Fertitta and features tributes to the hometown NBA team, the property could also be great for an athlete-centered Hyperice Event.
After, Lisa Ray from Pebble Beach Resorts stopped in to highlight the iconic destination. Most well-known for golf outings, Pebble Beach is also popular for the scenic 17-Mile Drive, nearby coastal towns, and day trips to Big Sur, and Pebble Beach Resorts offers on-site amenities like an equestrian center, five-star spa, hiking, biking, kayaking, and much more. To close out the episode, viewers had an option to win one of three packages donated by each of the broadcast’s featured resorts.
